The Vicar of St Marys is the Reverend David Ridley.

David was born in Dover and was educated at the Norton Knatchbull School in Ashford. He read Science at Southampton University and, following a PGCE at Bath, taught for seven years. After being called to the ministry, he spent two years in Birmingham studying Theology.

He was a curate in Faversham for three years and was Minister in Charge of St Augustines in Folkestone for four years before arriving at St Marys in September 2001.

He is married to Ruth, who is a Care Navigator for Age Concern, and they have three children, Charlotte, seventeen, Sam, sixteen, and Christopher, ten.

Soon after his arrival in Dover, David was appointed Chaplain to the Town Mayor of Dover. He is also Priest-in-Charge of the Church of St Martin at Guston and was appointed Area Dean in February 2006.

David is a keen supporter of Southampton FC, although he and the family can often be found on Saturday afternoons at the Crabble ground supporting Dover Athletic FC of the Ryman League.
The Reverend Trish Godfrey has been Curate at St Mary's since 2004. She was ordained as a non-stipendiary minister by the Bishop of Dover on 2nd July 2005 at her 'home' church of St Martin's, Dover.

The Reverend Stewart Carolan-Evans joined the St Mary's team as a curate in July 2006. Stewart was ordained Priest at St Marys by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd Dr Rowan Williams
on 1st July 2007.
